                                    Megantara, a Culuture Festival

           2 weeks ago my school held an event called Megantara. Megantara is a kind of culture festival that we held every year for the past 3 years. it actually first started a long time ago but for 12 years we didn't held it because of some reason and after that on 2014 the event is called mastwapati then on 2015 called gamarvani and this year it is called Megantara.

          Megantara was held on saturday, 10 september 2016 in lapangan bali and the gate opened around 11 am.But because i'm one of the student at sman 3 i must join the parade that start in the morning at 8 am. The girls that joined the parade must wear kebaya (traditional clothes for girls) and the boys must wear pangsi (traditional clothes for boys). the parade consist of the student that didn't join the committee, a big group of children from a kindergarten and some of the committee.  we walk around the streets shouting "come to megantara" and promoting the event. The parade ended at about 9 am then we were free of any activities. Me and some of my friends decided to go eat somewhere then head back to lapangan bali when the gate is open.

         At around 12 pm we head back to lapangan bali because the gate is open but once we were inside we cannot go outside again after 2.30 pm. So my friend and i decided to just head inside. Before we go inside we must go through the security check that forbid us to bring any weapons,fragrances, cosmetic, and any dangerous thing. When i went inside the first thing i saw is the white tent that belong to the food tent and the decoration that spread all over the place. Because this is a culuture festival there's so many regional food and the decoration is about the culture all around indonesia.

          There is some kind of a scary house around the corner but i don't really know if it is scary, i didn't try it because it has a long queue. There is also many food truck lining up in the field near the stage, i think its kind of unique really because food truck is not a common thing here.

          The event consist of some performance from band 3, kv 3, mk 3, kpa 3 and many more. There is also a fashion show of traditional clothes from the province all over indonesia and T'ST (theatrical performance by the student) that perform about the story of joker and i think its really funny because they performed it like a parody.

          I personally think the highlight of the event is the performance from the guest star, The Changcuters and RAN. When the mc announce that the guest star will perform in a few minutes, people started to gather around nearing the stage making a big crowd and when they performed the crowd started to sing to and enjoy the performance. The last performance is by RAN and when the last song was perform there's a fire coming out from stage and the confetti explode off the stage and it is a mark that the festival is coming to a close. The festival ended at about 10 pm at night.

         I think Megantara was a really fun experience for me and creative, because usually student at a school just make a art performances that doesn't include any cultural part so i think this event is also a reminder and a way for us to always remember our culture and preserve it. And do forget to always be proud of our culture.

                                                    Introduction


Hello Peeps! so this is my new blog! and to make it feel like its official i'm going to introduce myself and tell you guys some information about me.
     
        So lets start with my name.. my name is Alya Fatharani Fauzia and you can call me Alya or what my close friend used to call me , back in junior high school 'Ale'. I'm a 15 years old girl and i was born on June 20, 2001. I have 2 older brothers and 1 older sister so that makes me the youngest member of the family. My mother and father is such a big inspiration for me and a wonderful parents. 

        I had just went to 3 Senior High School Bandung and move to Bandung from Jakarta so this whole environment and experience feels all new to me. I really love to listen to music and baking and i really hope that someday i can open my own bakery or cupcake store. my favorite colour are white, black and purple. and i like to swim and read a novel.

        I'm pretty average in height and i have a medium length black hair and i have a chubby face.  I can say i'm a pretty nice person and sometimes i can be a bit too moody. my go to outfit is a shirt, a jeans and a flats or a sneaker.

        One of my biggest goal in life other than having my bachelor degree in university is to travel the world because i really like to visit many places and the experience of it and there's a thousand things out there that i didn't know and haven't tried as a saying goes..

        " who lives sees, but who travel sees more "

        aaand all i really want in life is to live my life happily, be useful for other people and always have a positive thinking. so i think that is all for my introduction and see you in my next post!
